Another repeat client, this time opting to move from a handleless kitchen to a more traditional style door but with a contemporary design and theme.

 

The kitchen is the Montana range from Beckermann which is a painted shaker with a beaded detail around the inside of the frame giving the more traditional style. The design itself, with plenty of symmetry provides the contamporary edge that our client was seeking.

This is a large space and the challenge with any large area is to keep the working area reasonably contained to avoid travelling unnecessary distances to carry out everyday tasks.

 

An “L” shaped island was used to achieve this whilst providing a large family seating area away from the main working space on the island.

Also part of the brief were two alcoves either side of a chimney breast opposite the island which serve as a bar, as well as a large media wall in the living area of the space. These connect the whole room into a single harmonious pallet and design concept.
